Friday Flow: Quick Warm Up
โจ Down dog toe tap - a ๐ exercise!
This movement encourages scapular (shoulder blade) upward rotation, challenges shoulder stability and awakens the posterior chain. The posterior chain includes the muscles and fascial connection on the backside of your body, like hamstrings, glutes, calves, lats, lower back erectors and rotator cuff muscles. Engagement of these powerhouse muscles can improve mobility and stability, which can help reduce your chance of injury with daily movements. Try this as a warm up to get moving in the morning - let me know what you think!
