Happy World Tarot Day! ๐
Tarot and card reading (as a whole) have been around for centuries, compromising various methods of practice that truly allows for an infinite amount of interpretation across all forms. Tarot is one of the most well known systems, and is by far the most diverse form of divination.
The included graphic in comments shows just how nuanced and detailed even one card is in the entire deck (pictured: The World card, Rider-Waite Smith version), and there are 77 more like it!
Tarot is practiced for both personal and professional use, as simply as a fun hobby, or as complex as a means to reach the collective, en mass, to provide more universal messages. Most readers will study the system for years, but in truth to try and memorize meanings is futile - again, the cards are so incredibly intricate and fluid that it would be impossible to try and remember or account for every possible card, combination, and circumstance that factors into a reading.
Tarot is also interpreted in unique ways by every practitioner. While intuition helps, not everyone who uses Tarot is an intuitive or even psychic, and like any great skill, becoming proficient at Tarot can be learned. Regardless of individual capacity, the cards are often read in various ways to gain their intended meaning, usually through incorporating a combination of intuitive impression, standard meaning, and other elements found within the deck itself such as imagery.
With all of that said, a lot of energy goes into Tarot reading! When done correctly, it is an exceptionally powerful tool for gaining insight and wisdom while connecting to Source! ๐๐
