I'm often asked by patients, "Why did you decide to be an acupuncturist?"

In 2018, I started seeing an acupuncturist to help with chronic low back pain that I had since a teenager. I had seen numerous providers and I was unable to get long-lasting relief. The summer before my senior year of college I started acupuncture treatments for my pain and I began to experience daily nausea. While eliminating more serious causes with my P*P, my acupuncturist helped manage my symptoms and my worsening anxiety. I quickly started to lose weight, I was barely staying on top of my courses and struggling to participate in my senior season on the tennis team. My acupuncture treatments quickly became my safe haven and where I felt most seen.

After graduation, I dived deep into my yoga practice and completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training at Elk Rock Yoga. That was the beginning of my formal training of the body and how powerful consistent acts of self-care can be in your well-being. I began to work in tandem with an acupuncturists, naturopathic doctor and a chiropractor and started to see my health improve. I wanted to use my own experiences to help me guide others to feeling better in their bodies. I decided to pursue acupuncture due to its wholistic view of health. I started at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in September 2020 and graduated with a Masters of Acupuncture in June 2023.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself!

I am a board-certified Acupuncturist with a B.A. in Economics from Lewis and Clark College and a Masters of Acupuncture from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. In my practice, I focus on sports medicine, pain management and reproductive health but I enjoy treating a wide variety of conditions. I draw from my vast experience working in various clinics in Portland, 500 hours of yoga teacher training, an internship at Fora Health and my volunteer work in rural Nepal with the Acupuncture Relief Project.

My intention as an acupuncturist is to be a guide on my patient’s journey to finding balance and harmony in their body and life’s. I work with my patients to find the root cause of their pain and then create a personalized treatment plan utilizing acupuncture, therapeutic movement, lifestyle and dietary changes. In the treatment room, I use acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, topicals and KT tape.

In my free time, I'm typically finding joy in movement. I love to do strength training, Muay Thai, bouldering, yoga, and leisurely walks with my black lab, Lola.
