My tailored Swedish massage consists of varying pressure and techniques, based on a client’s therapeutic needs at the time of their appointment. This may include one or more of the following: joint manipulations, stretching, trigger point compressions, neuromuscular or cranio-sacral therapies, or reflexology. ~ Hot stone enhancement: I always incorporate a few minutes of hot stone massage on the back, neck, and shoulders to help muscles relax in the first half of the massage
~ Hot towel wraps on the feet: a tradition at my former California resort spa, I now include this in every massage as a soothing and relaxing finish
~ Heated neck roll: also a spa tradition, this U- shaped cushion filled with buckwheat and flax seed brings soothing heat to neck muscles as they await massage in the face-up part of the session
~ Soothing eye pillow: a beanbag-style cushion filled with lavender hulls; serves as alight blocker and a source of comfort for aching sinuses
