Five weeks and 2 days from today my husband will be standing at the starting line of one of the toughest endurance races in the world..an Ironman. 💙 Just saying that out loud gives me butterflies. I’m excited, NERVOUS, and so proud all at once.

For those who don’t know what this race includes: it starts with a 2.2 mile swim, then a 144 mile bike ride, and ends with a full marathon (26.2 miles). All in one day. 🤯

The hours he’s put into training, the sacrifices, and the discipline it takes to even get to this point amazes me. He’s been pushing his limits day after day, and watching his dedication has been inspiring.

This race is different from the last half he did because I can’t be at the starting line with him because they have to be shuttled down by bus. 😢But I’ll be cheering my heart out as he takes on every mile and I’ll be at every transition. No matter what, I couldn’t be prouder of the man I get to call my husband. 🥹❤️

Get yourself a bestie!! 💜 The kind who wakes up at 5 AM to run hills with you, brings coffee when you’re out of milk, prays for you, crushes crazy CrossFit workouts, eats Mexican & margaritas with you, and tells you the truth when you need it.

The kind you love so much you care for their kids like your own.

So thankful God put me in Minden with this amazing (small but mighty) friend group. 💪 jumps into every wild idea I have. cheers, drives, supports us in all the crazy, and has been there since the beginning. My husband will always be my #1, but having strong women who lift you up is priceless.
