Come join us for another session of Exploring Our Spirit this Thursday (11/7) from 5:30-6:30 at Merrimac and Main! We will be engaging in visio divina, a practice that invites us to use images to connect spiritually, mentally, and physically with what we hold most sacred. No experience required; drop-ins are always welcome. If you have an image that you feel is particularly sacred to you, bring it with you in printed or digital form. See you there!

Join us this Thursday (10/3) for another group spiritual direction session at Merrimac and Main from 5:30-6:30 PM. This week we will explore connecting with the Sacred through embodied prayer. Our bodies are the primary way we connect with the world around us. Embodied prayer invites us to use poses, movements, and physical expression of emotions to experience the Sacred. We will start our time together with a centering exercise and a few prompts to practice embodied prayer. Then we will have time to explore using our bodies to connect to and listen to the Sacred as it manifests within our day-to-day experiences. Remember, this is a free event (though donations are appreciated to cover the space).

Spiritual direction is about deepening our relationship with what we hold sacred. But what exactly do we mean by "sacred"? My practice is to welcome “sacred” as a broad experience of what orients our lives and inspires us to our values and ideals.

For some, the Sacred is a deity or multiple deities. For others, it is moments of deep human experience, like wonder and beauty. Some find the Sacred in relationships to family and community. Many of us find the Sacred in more than one place.

A spiritual direction session, whether in an individual or group setting, invites us to engage in conversation, contemplation, and exploration of the Sacred, however it shows up for us.

Curious about spiritual direction? Come join me at Merrimac and Main in Dodgeville the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 5:30-6:30 to engage in common spiritual direction techniques with other curious individuals. No commitment, no cost--though donations are accepted.

Join us this Thursday (9/19) at 5:30 at Merrimac and Main in Dodgeville for another session of Exploring Our Spirit. This week we will be engaging with lectio divina. Latin for “divine reading,” lectio divina is a process that invites us to explore the sacred through reading, meditation, and contemplation. We will use texts from a variety religious, wisdom, and secular traditions to engage our minds, emotions, and spirits in a conversation with what we each individually hold sacred. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own sacred texts to share with the group.

Exploring Our Spirit

Explore your sacred life! This judgement-free zone invites you to creatively explore your relationship with what you hold sacred, holy, and most-valued in your life. Each session leads you through contemplative practices that encourage your body, mind, and spirit to move closer to your sacred center. Adults of all spiritual orientations and beliefs are welcome to participate. This is a donation-based group led by spiritual director Bryce Woyak of Ninth Wave Spirit LLC. No commitment necessary; come and go as you feel inspired to do so. Drop-ins are always welcome!

Exciting news! I will be hosting a drop-in group spiritual direction group at Merrimac and Main starting in September. Exciting changes in this space! I completed a 2-year training program in spiritual direction in April. I've decided to expand The Point Witch to include my spiritual direction practice, and this has come with rebrand. The Point Witch is now Ninth Wave Spirit! I'll continue offering Tarot and Geomancy and all previous services, just now with the addition of spiritual direction. More to come as the summer progresses.
