On November 26, 2014, Tyler was walking on Route 30 to his girlfriend's house and was hit by a car. The driver fled the scene, then turned himself into police the following day. Tyler was taken to Aultman Hospital to be treated for life threatening injuries. Tyler has suffered a traumatic brain injury, fractured skull, a broken right foot, fractured jaw, and fractured vertebrae. Currently, Tyler has been transferred to Edwin Shaw for rehabilitation.
