I had big plans today, productive plans for my work and school…that is until both of my girls came down with strep.🤦‍♀️😜

Two dr visits, three trips to the pharmacy, issues with our new health insurance, long lines with kids who didn’t feel well, 1-hr trying to get a child to take foul tasting meds, countless snuggles, numerous popsicles, a constant flow of refilling water bottles and endless calls for “Mooommm”. All of which have left me feeling worn out and tired.😴

All of this to say that my self care today looks like postponing my planned Instagram post and putting my feet up. Taking this off of my to-do list was a necessary act of self love tonight.

A reminder not to feel pressured to always “do it all”. Some days you just can’t, and that’s ok.

Tomorrow is a new day! ❤️🩷❤️

Use this quick guide to assess what areas of your multidimensional health may be in need of more time, attention and nourishment.

IMPORTANT: During this exercise it is important to practice non-judgment and compassion. The intent here is not to make you feel bad, but to help you gain self- awareness as you work to incorporate healthy practices into your everyday life.

Here’s how it works:

Take a look at each section and reflect on your personal level of happiness, fulfillment and contentment in each area. For each section, place a dot indicating your level of satisfaction. Place a dot toward the center of the circle if you feel unsatisfied and place a dot toward the outer part of the circle if you feel satisfied. After completing each section, connect your dots for a quick and easy assessment of what areas in your life may be in need of some extra time and attention.
