I'm a knitter based in Minneapolis, MN available upon request for custom knits, one-on-one knitting lessons, repairs, finishing, test knits and more. I am curious about classic techniques and styles, but at the same time I am a child of the modern era. My project bags regularly hold lace socks next to an IPad cozy, or a Norwegian sweater next to a miniature soft sculpture of Doctor Who. If you can imagine it, I can knit it.

The Little Dude.

This pint sized version of The Dude’s sweater in The Big Lebowski is a really fun baby knit. I hacked the pattern a bit but the result is still adorable.

Just finished up a pair of socks for myself! The yarn for these came from the sweater I knit for bringing my daughter home from the hospital. Once she outgrew it I wanted to reknit it into something I could wear myself.

The secret to intarsia (blocks of colorwork) is that even if you have the same color separated by another color, you use a separate bobble, rather than trying to carry the same color across to the other side.

It is officially Peak Stocking Season. I’ve already done three this year, I’ve currently got five in my queue, and no promises for any more before Christmas. Whew!
(For those keeping track at home, my in-one-year record was eleven).

I believe I have a new “booked until” record... clients ordering today will need to wait six months until I am ready to pick up needles for them.
Granted, it‘s hard to accurately predict finishing times that far out so I always over estimate, but still... that’s a lot of folks wanting Bespoke!

Lots of orders coming in.... My mother has been babysitting Bea a few days every week so I can hide in the TV room and knit. It’s equal parts ridiculous and awesome.

I’ve gotten another one of my favorite client projects.... picking up the needles of a knitter who has passed away to finish the sweater she was working on for her daughter. An honor and a privilege.
