A warm welcome to Brynn, another of our new Fellows for 2026!! ✨🎉

Brynn Sexton knows American Sign Language and she has a real disability called Down Syndrome. She loves her brother Niall, her family, and friends. Brynn likes having donuts with her dad, Tony and watching the Minnesota Wild. She likes bike rides with her mom, Sally, as well. And she loves seafood.

Joseph Allen supports Black Lives Matter, Minority Lives Matter and Pride. He likes to play basketball, video games, and go for walks. He likes writing about social justice. He wants the World to know that he’s a Black Man that will stand up for what’s right.

Did you know that Cow Tipping Press has a gathering just for Fellows once a year? Well, It was nice being able to kick off the new year by getting to meet new Fellows (former students we’ve hired to co-teach classes!) for 2026 as well as getting to catch up with former Fellows. We met at the fun food hall . We also had three speakers from cool organizations that could potentially serve as new opportunities for former Fellows. We had a great time eating and chatting together! 🥳

“We all have an imagination hiding somewhere in our head. However there are those who’ve been gifted with a vibrant imagination that can bring lots of benefits as is shown in a piece by Cow Tipping Press Author Talulah Schuchman in her piece titled ‘Universe In My Head.’ One benefit that she talks about which struck me was that she thought that people who have big imaginations, ‘have the ability to think on a bigger scale and see the bigger picture of things more than most people.’ As a fellow writer, I can relate to this and one benefit of thinking on a larger scale and seeing the whole picture can help authors develop more empathy for their characters and see things from the perspectives of different characters. I find this quote pretty amazing since it’s something that writers of all fiction genres can relate to. Can’t get enough good writing?
