Wedge salad is easily the most underrated salad in the land. Basic ingredients, minimal effort to assemble, crisp light taste as a stand-alone dish on a hot summer day - or a lovely way to start a multi-course meal. It just doesn’t get enough attention for the versatility and consistent satisfaction it brings to the table. 😉 Here’s a shout-out to my new go-to snack/meal/starter.

(Feel free to use diced tomatoes. I’ll pass.)

I love having reasons to get outside in the winter. ❄️
There is beauty to be witnessed and memories to make. I’m glad we braved the ice rain to finish another Moustache Run!

Apple Watch. You get me. I love the little celebratory image and haptic feedback I earn when achieving my goals. It’s that quick hit of instant gratification that makes the long, (tedious?) consistent effort a bit happier each day.

My first meal from ; Caramelized Pineapple Teriyaki Burgers with a side of Sweet Potato Fries 🍠 (and yes, I tried to get fancy with the Siracha Mayo presentation ☺️).

Verdict: It was a win with the family!

I had chicken massaman curry (no potato) from a local restaurant yesterday. What to do with the leftovers?

I added a cup of broccoli and went in for round 2 today! I added a side of avocado 🥑 to cut the spice and, well, because its avocado. ❤️

So this finally happened. I think I’ll call it, “Day 1. Revisited.”

There are so many things that I want to be when I envision the best version of myself; strong, healthy, confident, accomplished, giving, nurturing, wise, successful...

And how will I become this version of myself unless I change trajectory, alter course, and actually DO the things which align with my dreams for the future?

God has impressed on me lately the importance of actually DOING the things that I believe in; the things that seem mundane but are the disciplines which build solid foundations for the future.

Prioritizing wellbeing is a piece of that story (exercise, hydration, nutrition, Sabbath rest). Actively showing love to my neighbors is another piece of the story. Personal development is a piece. So is pouring that development into others through teaching and encouragement.

But my intention only meets reality when I DO something.

God, grant me the courage to change the things I can.

Because You have shown me so much that needs to change in this world, and it is going to take many courageous common people rising above our excuses to make the change that we can.
