Nearly 4 in 10 Americans Will Plan a Mental Health Resolution for 2026!

Whether it’s a gym membership, a new diet, or “Dry January,” lifestyle resolutions have long been popular. But as many health professionals advocate, one cannot have good physical health without good mental health, and vice versa.

It’s encouraging to see more individuals planning to prioritize their mental health in 2026, particularly younger adults. The strategies people are embracing—such as regular physical activity, mindfulness practices, adequate sleep, time in nature, and engaging in therapy—reflect a growing recognition that mental health is deeply connected to daily habits . Even small. Intentional changes can have a meaningful and lasting impact on overall well-being.

World AIDS Day is December 1 — and our voices matter now more than ever.

The Trump administration has quietly instructed federal employees not to commemorate World AIDS Day this year.
No posts. No statements. No public recognition at all.

This will be the first time since 1988 the U.S. government refuses to acknowledge World AIDS Day.

If our government won’t show up, we will.

Because…

Silence has never led to progress.
Silence has never saved lives.
Silence has never honored the people we’ve lost.
And silence has never supported the millions still living with HIV today.

World AIDS Day has always belonged to the people — to those who fought, marched, cared for one another, challenged stigma, and demanded better. It belongs to the activists and organizers who refused to let the world look away. It belongs to the LGBTQ+ community, who carried the weight of the epidemic on their backs while being ignored by those in power.

On December 1, we remember the lives stolen by AIDS.
We honor the survivors and caretakers.
We recommit to education, access to care, and fighting stigma.
And we lift up the truth: HIV is preventable. HIV is treatable. People with HIV can live long, full, beautiful lives.

World AIDS Day is not optional.
It’s a responsibility — a legacy of love and resistance.

And this year, because those in power have chosen silence, our voices matter even more.

We will remember. We will speak. We will educate. We will honor. We will support.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance, a day to remember and honor the lives lost to anti-trans violence and discrimination. Though we have come far in Minnesota, our work is not over.

Today is a day to recommit ourselves to making change around the culture of transphobia, misogyny, homophobia, racism, and gun violence responsible for so many of these tragic losses. And to recognize the disproportionate impact this violence has on BIPOC communities, especially on Black trans women.

We must all work for a safe and equitable world where all members of our communities can lead lives of opportunity, autonomy, and full self-expression. 🏳️‍⚧️⁣
