Recently SASCS worked with the MSFDA region 7 to do a regional training drill in Cambridge. We provided training sessions that includes VEIS, Grain Bin Rescue, Water rescue, and School bus extrication.

One of the only approved items we can burn for fire training is pallets.
In the month of April, SASCS burned over 120 pallets training firefighters.
I can't thank the several companies that partner with us by supplying pallets enough.
This morning I picked up a load of pallets from From the Ground Up in Owatonna.

This weekend SASCS instructors joined the MFSCB evaluators to add another 24 firefighters to the Minnesota Fire Service.
On Sunday they completed their certification skills test and performed their level 1 burn.
Congratulations to all of you.

This makes 67 new firefighters that are complete. We still have 2 more weeks to go!

It was a bit cool this morning when we started out. But this afternoon was comfortable. Instructors Engelmann, Carlson, Atzenhoefer, Bernardy, and Volz spent the day in Cambridge training the MSFDA region 7 firefighters on various firefighting and rescue techniques.
