Ilitch grew up in Mexico, where family is the foundation of identity. Caring for his grandfather and his aunt with cerebral palsy taught him the joy of serving others. Ria’s journey began in Minneapolis, first as a CNA caring for 19 residents at a time, and now as a nurse practitioner. Together, we see firsthand the struggles and resilience of families navigating dementia every single day.

That’s why we walk. We walk to honor families, caregivers, and residents. We walk to support the Hispanic community and all who dream of a world without Alzheimer’s. And we walk with hope — because every step brings us closer to a cure.
