Sometimes we just want to feel better.
Which is another way of saying we don’t want to be in this pain.
And of course, who would?
Who would willingly step into this kind of heartache?
It’s one of grief’s strangest paradoxes:
the more we allow ourselves to truly feel our feelings,
the more they move through us.
And the more space there is for moments of healing to appear.
Healing doesn’t mean forgetting.
It isn’t disloyal.
Healing is finding ways to release some of the pain while still holding the love.
It’s small. It’s quiet.
It’s real.
What has helped you release the pain, even a little?
