Diversified Behavioral Health

Diversified Behavioral Health We are a group counseling & behavioral health place to learn how to navigate life's challenges. We see children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

We believe in whole-person healthcare and want to work with you to achieve happiness. Life can take us on unexpected twists and turns, taking us down paths we may never have imagined we would travel. Sometimes it is with difficulties at work or changing careers. It may be conflict within the family that is preventing a closer relationship. Perhaps it’s an internal conflict or trauma that is stopping you from being happy or moving forward with the life you hoped for. Maybe you have a child or teen in your life that is struggling with making friends, falling grades, social anxiety, or problem behaviors. Any of these life challenges can cause feelings of depression, defeat, anxiety, agitation, sadness, or just an overall feeling of not being settled or being your true self. This can lead to a lower attention span, forgetfulness, crying, nervousness, or even physical pain such as backaches, headaches, stomach issues, or other physical ailments and disease. At Diversified Behavioral Health, we believe that every individual is unique and has value no matter what. We are a group of clinicians that prides itself on embracing diversity at every level and providing clients with the support they need to achieve full body wellness—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Every person who seeks behavioral healthcare has a right to receive benefits, and if there is a service we do not provide we will help direct you to a provider who has the ability to meet your needs. Does anyone ever feel like part of them is so busy and has so many things to get done that they aren't going anywhere? How about having that feeling and then another part of you feeling like, "Whelp! If I can't get it all done in one sitting then I will just cruise on by and wave at all the work that needs to be completed" ? This is how my last week and a half has looked! I have had a ton to do and no focus to get it all done.

Here's to getting back on track :)

Happy everyone! Start your week with a moment of stillness. Take 5 minutes today to sit quietly and focus on your breath. Remember, it's not about emptying your mind, but about returning your focus whenever it wanders.

Let's get some interaction going!

Trust is the easiest thing to lose and the hardest thing to get back.

Do you see people as "guilty until proven innocent?" or "innocent until proven guilty?"

How did your experience inform who/how you trust?

How would you like to be trusted?

By request!
I absolutely love yoga and the healing benefits it can afford us. The practice of yoga not only helps us physically, but it has the power to help us mentally, as well.

There are different forms of yoga and the one we are looking at today is Yoga Nidra. What is Yoga Nidra? Yoga Nidra literally means "yogic sleep". It is an ancient meditation technique where practitioners enter a deeper state of conscious relaxation, moving awareness from the external world to the internal.

Sounds like meditation, right? Yes, it sounds the same on the surface, but Yoga Nidra is different from meditation because it is focused on the internal rather than the external. In meditation, we learn how to block the outside world by not focusing on distractions. In Yoga Nidra, we focus on ourselves and what we have happening internally.

Have you tried Yoga Nidra? What were your experiences?

Happy Labor Day if you celebrate!

I have a question for you! I have enjoyed popping back onto social media to connect with you :) What would you like to learn more about? Are there topics in mental health that you find interesting? In what areas of your life would you like to grow? Would you want me to do a Q&A on mental health topics?

I'm listening! Leave me a comment or message me, and I will see what I can put together!
