I see you.
Working hard. Carrying the kids, the marriage, the home. Navigating college drop offs, empty nests, retirement, grief, and life shifts all at once.
Change can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. For me, seasons of change also came with anxiousness, poor sleep, brain fog, and in this season, deep sadness and loneliness. When that sits in your body long enough, it shows up in ways you don’t expect.
Labs off. Sleep deprived. High cortisol. Weight gain.
That’s when your body and mind can start waving red flags that feel medical.
Over the years, I wore monitors, had tests done, and was offered prescriptions that came with more side effects than solutions. Once real medical concerns were ruled out, it became clear my body was reacting to emotional load, lack of sleep, and constant stress.
For years, I masked exhaustion with caffeine. Multiple ventis a day plus Diet Coke on repeat. I felt tired but wired. Puffy. Sleep deprived. My weight swung like a yo yo. My body felt like it was working against me because it was.
Here’s what I’ve learned.
When your mind carries too much, your body carries it too.
Synthetic caffeine, dyes, and fillers kept my system in alarm mode for years. My joints paid the price. Knee injections every few months for over a decade. I’ve now been injection free for over a year, this is a big hallelujah 🙌🏼 and a 38 pound weight loss!
When you don’t sleep, cortisol rises.
When you run depleted long enough, your system eventually collapses.
When you cover the root with bandaids instead of addressing the cause, nothing truly changes.
Healing didn’t start with perfection. It started with awareness and support.
I stopped chasing quick fixes and started giving my body what it had been asking for all along. Simple daily habits. Consistent support to help me rest, restore, and rebalance.
Supplemeting my mind, gut, and body led to sleep improved, puffiness eased, and my energy returned.
My knees stabilized. The scale stopped being the loudest voice in the room. My body, labs, and clarity showed me what addressing the root can do.
This season taught me that change doesn’t have to break you. With the right tools, it can rebuild you.
Your body isn’t failing you. It’s communicating with you.
If you’re in a season of stress, transition, or emotional weight, please hear this.
You are not stuck. You are supported and intentional consistent steps can lead to lasting change. 💛
