Shawna Hanson is the associate director of MonTECH, Montana’s assistive technology loan library. She is also the mother of an autistic man who is nonspeaking. She understands what it’s like to search the preschool-toys aisle for a gift for a teenager, and the never-ending quest for the perfect sensory toy that is both satisfying AND safe.

MonTECH is a free service providing loans of equipment and free 1:1 support for Montanans with disabilities. Learn more about MonTECH’s services and hear about some gift ideas at our next Circle of Parents on November 18th.

And if you’re interested in this page, you already know that. Our F2F is all about finding resources in Montana, and sharing those discoveries. We’re about lifting each other up, and sparing another family some hardship with tips and information gained through hard-won experience.
