Happy Friday, everyone!

Sorry I have been MIA for awhile on here. Life is tough as a special needs family and life stressors can be so much more difficult. 😥 I wanted to let you all know, I am back into being more social and wanting to get the Circle of Parents group back together and restarted.

Please reach out to me if you are interested in the monthly meetings or have questions. I want to do a monthly meeting with every other month being a Zoom meeting and the other months as an in-person meeting.

Let me know if you all would be interested in this format or what works best for your family.

Happy Friday everyone!
Reminder: next Wednesday, July 16th at 6:30 pm we will have our 1st in-person Circle of Parents support group meeting. Please message me if you are interested in attending. We will have light snacks and drinks for everyone. We will meet in the Cooper Room B on 4th floor!

Since it’s our first in-person meeting, I just want to keep the subject material open to parents/caregivers to talk about what we are looking for in the support group. If you have caregiver topics, questions about services in our area, or interest in helping support our community, please bring them to discuss.

Just wanted to let you know the Circle of Parents Support Group meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, 6/18/25 at 8 pm via Zoom!

Starting next month, July 16, 2025, we will have in-person meetings at 6:30 pm at the Missoula Public Library. If you would like to attend in-person, please RSVP so I can get a head count and enough snacks.

Good day everyone! My name is Gerri Stiffarm and I am a mom to a 8 year old boy with autism. I wanted to participate in the group as a way to fight the parental isolation I have and the mental fatigue of being a mom to a child with special needs. I would love to meet you all and grow our community of parents in Missoula and find ways to support one another with the challenges we face each day. I am really excited to be taking part in this opportunity and supporting one another as best as possible.

So, starting in July 2025, the 1st in-person Circle of Parents Support Group family meeting will be held on July 16, 2025, at 630 pm in the Missoula Public Library 4th floor Cooper B Room.

I will send out more information as we get closer but wanted to invite you all to RSVP if you are interested in attending. This will help gauge number of participants and amount of snacks and children who will be attending. Please let me know if there is any dietary needs for yourselves or the children.

Also, the June COP meeting will be a virtual meeting via Zoom. This meeting is on Wednesday, June 18th, from 8 pm - 930 pm. I will update the information with the Zoom link asap. I’d like to use this time to visit and find out what the needs and issues facing us as parents. This will help me figure out how to better engage us with community resources in the in-person meetings as we move forward.
