Each November, we highlight the facilitators who bring their heart, wisdom, and care to the Wellness Collective. Today, we’re celebrating Celia — a gifted communicator, coach, and facilitator who helps our community find confidence and voice in meaningful ways.
Here are Celia’s reflections for Gratitude Month:
💫 One small daily ritual that helps you feel grounded or grateful:
“Checking in with someone on my ‘Square Squad’ — this is something I learned from Brené Brown. You take a 1 inch by 1 inch square piece of paper and write the names of one, two, three, or four folks you trust deeply to tell it like it is. These are go-to friends, colleagues, true allies who will be honest with you and whose input you can receive and integrate. I check in briefly with one of them every day, even just for 5–10 minutes.”
🌿 A person, place, or community in Moab that fills your cup:
“I’m so grateful for the local farms in our community, where I can buy locally grown fresh food. Thank you to Easy Bee Farms, Castle Valley Farms, Moab Homegrown, and the new Green River Honey Bee Farm for filling my cup and my plate!”
✨ A moment from this year that reminded you of your purpose:
“Co-hosting the Storied Self story slams this year really reminded me that I find great joy in supporting others to find their voice and share from their hearts in authentic and irresistible ways. I feel this often in my communications coaching practice, but the Slams really feel great too!”
🤍 One act of kindness—big or small—that meant a lot:
“Seeing the way our community is coming together to support folks impacted by food insecurity — especially how the Our Village Community Center’s program used (now expiring) grant funds to pay farmers for their food and offer it to families for free. What an amazing gift!”
🕊️ One intention you’re carrying into the new year for your own wellness:
“To choose three words each day that embody what I know I need or want to think/feel/believe/do. It helps with my focus and reminds me of what I need a little boost of!”
Celia, we’re grateful for your voice — and for the way you help others find theirs.
