So today was a dream realized 💯. Not a percentage less. We got USDA inspected beef, lamb, and pork from our farm picked up today. We clearly didn't have enough coolers, but thank goodness the weather was cool on the way home.

We can legally sell packaged meat. I don't know if Brandon ever truly saw this day coming as there are so many hurdles and bumps in the road that you have to jump through as a farmer. And yet, we are ready to move Little Raccoon Creek Farm to the next level.

All three freezers are organized and have the meats separated. Want to know where your meat comes from? Want to make sure you have quality meat in your freezer? Hit us up. I can arrange drop off or pickup.

Today was a pinch me moment that I have been manifesting for the last 5 years.

After the walnut season this fall, we get a lot more people who take our little tiny road thru in hopes of seeing the pigs and chickens out doing silly. If you drove down Denny this afternoon you probably saw everyone out enjoying this fine day and chowing on some pumpkins.

If you don't already know about Pumpkins for Pigs, check them out! They are a non profit that helps farmers connect to the general public. In our case, we have pumpkins, straw, and kiddie pools on our list. If people go on the site, type in their state, they can see if there are farms that match the items they want to donate. Click on the farm near you and then get all the information.

We have used them for years and we normally get 5-7 calls a year with stuff. Today it was three fresh pumpkins! It's a great site that combines sustainability and community with a true appreciation for farmers.

Enjoy the piggies devouring them!!!

Reflecting on the past year while Brandon is reflecting on the inner part of his eye lids.

4 new rescue animals we took in this year. Got a couple billion new chickens, 2 craft fairs at our farm, a new job for both of us, Augie in Pre-K and hip hop dance classes, hay, sheep, lambs...... It was a lot. Maybe too much.

I am not really a resolution sort of gal, just more looking at what went right and wrong and how I can do things better.

I learned more this year than I probably ever have. So that's something. And they weren't all fun lessons. But when you stop learning, you stop growing.

2026 needs to help me out a bit, 😂. And I need to help myself out a bit.

Looking forward to being able to sell our own meat. Lamb, beef, and pork!!! New opportunities, new babies (animal kind only)!!!! And hopefully a year not so full of 💩. I wish everyone else the same!

Well tomorrow is never going to be a day I look forward to, but it is necessary. We have a Holstein steer, two pigs, and two lambs going to a locker appointment.

It used to bother me a lot more when we first started, but I like knowing where our food comes from..... Other than a grocery store. If you want in on a pig, half or whole, let me know. Same with 1/4 of a cow.

In a different direction, our little heifer is doing well. Again. 7 day rule before I get super excited about a calf, but she is just so precious. We cannot figure out a name though. Everest (paw patrol) was the first one floated, but management couldn't agree.

Merry?

Christmas?

Bell?

A cute pic of Maddox who isn't ready to go down to one bottle a day, lol.

It's a good thing the snow is so beautiful. It makes me forget how flipping cold it is. -1 this morning. As much as I dislike the cold, I can't hate on the amazing sledding opportunity Augie and I will have this afternoon.

Cows are overfed, dogs are going out in 15 minute increments, and then passing out by the fire, and Christmas present wrapping is the afternoon plan.

Augie gets his first dress recital tonight. If you can't tell by the picture, he is a little excited.

New calf on the ground as of this morning. We are cautiously optimistic, but aware that any calf being born in these temps to a temperamental mom is always going to be tough.

Hope everyone is staying warm out there today. And don't forget you have until the 19th to help our township family out for the holidays. You can drop off items at our house or down at the farm. We had an amazing neighbor/friend give $100 just out of the kindness of their heart. They went down after everyone was gone, but still wanted to help. How do we get these people out here? 💜 I was blown away by her generosity and now get to shop on Amazon for the family again. Season Blessings everyone!!!!! Now back to Amazon.

I put out roughly $2,500 (new) worth of baby and toddler stuff at the farm.... ✨ ALL FREE!!!! ✨ I don't have the time to sell it all individually online; I would lose my mind. I just want it to get some more use. 2 carries in barely used condition. Two pack and plays, one used one time, 2 car seats (these will need to be cleaned), toys, a bottle warmer, a stroller, some stuffed animals, ect. The stroller was well over $200 new and just needs a clean.

I have a whole bag of winter suits for kids, a million different kinds of sleep sacks, and lots more. Clothes go up to 3t.

We also have a bunch of new books to add to the library so if you need some good books, go ahead and grab them. Don't worry about returning them.

There is a money box set up by the tables. If you want to drop in a few bucks, I am not going to stop you, 😂. I have two families that I am trying to help this year and the budget is stretched pretty thin. Even a little will help make their Christmas a bit brighter. Especially for the expensive items, a $10 or $20 would be amazing.

But again, it is FREE. You don't have to schedule pickup, just stop by the farm during the day, it will be out.

We do have cameras at the farm, just so people are aware.

First of all, our lovely ladies have taken their holiday, and are back in action. Eggs are flowing again over here and with the nicer weather I am going to be using the egg fridge starting tomorrow morning. Fresh eggs being dropped off at 9:40.

Second, we had our first donation for a township family in need be dropped off tonight Mary Hovious, you are one of the kindest people and I so appreciate your support. If you all have any questions about what the family needs, please just comment or message me. Again, I will do the wrapping myself and you can just drop off down at the farm. For the girl of the family, I think I bought everything axolotl. Sorry, not sorry. 😂

Lastly, Don't forget about the Farming Un-Influenced calendars to raise money for People & Animal Learning Services (PALS) . $20 each. I can provide shipping for a flat rate of $6. Just a bunch of silly people taking silly, real pictures of what farming is truly like. They really are so special to me and I want them in as many houses in 2026.

EDIT TO ADD: If you don't live in this area, don't even worry about it. You need help? Let me help.

So I always try to help a family, an organization, a cause each holiday season. This year has been a hectic one and I am asking a bit late...... Does anyone know of a family in our township that might need some assistance this holiday season? Food, clothes, toys, ect.

You can reach out to me anonymously if you prefer, but I would like to help where I can. "It takes a village" is a quote that keeps coming up this year in the strangest of ways so I feel like God or the universe is trying to tell me something.

I would love to help, so please PM me, email me at littleraccooncreekfarm@gmail.com, or you can send me a message on our website www.littleraccooncreekfarm.com.

Let me help you and give back to our community. 🎄 🎁

So we are making a huge step this year in regards to being able to sell USDA inspected meat! We have a steer, three pigs, and at least two lambs going to a meat locker on December 18th.

We are open to having people purchase 1/4 of beef. 1 full pig or half, and 1 or half of a lamb.

We will also be selling individual cuts around the first of the year.

If you are interested in purchasing..... $1.80 live weight of beef.

$1.00 live weight of pig.

$3.00 live weight of lamb.

If you choose to purchase (for example) a half of a pig, you pay the processing fees on top of the live weight fee. But that means you get to tell them exactly what you want, what cuts, what brat flavors, ect.

Obviously if you choose to go with individual cuts, the price increases because we paid for the processing. All raised by us. Lambs are grass fed. Steer is grass fed. Pigs are grass fed, grain supplemented.

Let me know if you are interested or have any questions!!!
