HOPI HEART
“First, respect me and one another. And second, sing in harmony from the tops of the hills. When I do not hear you singing praises to your creator I will know you have gone back to evil again.” Creator in ‘Book of Hopi’

The Hopi Heart tone originated from an undocumented cultural exchange. The story, passed down verbally, tells us how a planetary frequencies practitioner visited a Hopi elder. It was from the guidance of this elder that 164.81 Hz “E” was adopted into the Planetary Frequencies system. After looking over all the research including the main planets, the elder intuitively asked why Earth Chakra tone “E” was missing from the spectrum. This Hopi elder shared how “E” is used for tuning spiritual biorhythms in the body. The note vibrates with violet, resonating the Crown Chakra. Similar to Geomagnetic Field, which was selectively calibrated to compliment the indigo blue spectrum, the Hopi Heart frequency was in part, added to the palette of healing frequencies to include violet light.
Secrets are held in Hopi oral tradition which may always remain a mystery. In the 1950s, Frank Waters and Oswald White Bear Fredericks spent three years tape recording the sacred traditions of the Hopi people. 27 Hopi elders gave consent to preserving their wisdom in a form other than oral tradition, sharing creation stories and sacred knowledge previously maintained in secret. From these recordings, the two gentlemen created a manuscript, which the elders then reviewed and approved, published in 1963 as the “Book of Hopi”. Some later allegations suggested that Mr Waters “treated the Hopi Traditions in a freewheeling fashion and changed what he was told into what he wanted it to be”, which appears to have influenced later assertions regarding cultural appropriation and his misinterpretation of Hopi oral histories. Mr Waters may have done the best he could to remain bias free when interpreting the prophesies, but apparently some of his translations upset tribal members. Book of Hopi nonetheless provides us with bits of mythology, including two rules for engaging life.
The origin story involves three previous worlds, destroyed by fire, ice and water. We currently live in the Fourth World. This reflects across Mayan views, elucidating how we now live in the age of the Fourth Sun. After emergence, men and women began to spread across the planet. “They were so close together in spirit they could see and talk to each other from the center on top of the head”. The Hopi perceive the light body to consist of 5 vibratory doors, or energy centers, with the top located at the skull’s soft spot, or kopavi. Accordingly, this “open door” allows each human to communicate directly with Creator. The elders allude to our crown chakra corresponding to a vibratory center within Earth herself. A short article titled “A Brief Examination of the Importance of Chakras and Singing Praises” discusses the other 4 centers, the brain, throat, heart and navel, also siting the importance of singing to maintain a connection with Creator. “The living body of man and the living body of the earth were constructed in the same way. Through each ran an axis, man’s axis being the backbone, the vertebral column, which controlled the equilibrium of his movements and his functions. Along the axis were several vibratory centers which echoed the primordial sound of life throughout the universe… sounding a warning if anything went wrong”. According to many cultures, our bodies become transceivers of creation when we sing on hill tops, keeping communities tuned to source energy.
Throat singing is among the ancient traditions found worldwide. Generated when the fundamental “om” of the voice is saturated with resonant overtones, harmonic content is defined and articulated by shaping the mouth and throat to form vowel inflections. Indigenous Siberians understand many sub-vowels that comprise a complex universal language structure. Learning to tone like this is fun and also activates the kopavi on top of the head , the “door” through which our cells resonate in communication with the universe. Assigned 164.8 Hz , the International Standard tuning for “E” TTET 440, Hopi Heart is in near perfect unison with Naiad, a moon of Neptune, the only celestial sphere in our solar system sharing resonance with this tone.
