1-12-25 This dog was abandoned in our neighborhood when we first saw him in January 1st. We were able to befriend him the next day. We tried finding his owner through social media and through the humane society in Pasadena but no luck. He is now adoptable. We are currently fostering him until he finds an adopted family. Truly a great dog. Kind-natured, gentle and loving. He let me give him a good bath with some flea control. He is getting neutered today. Our guess is he is about 9 months to a year old. We think the breed is Kai Ken. He seems to be well along his way and being housebroken as we've had no issues. He walks pretty well on a leash but will need training. We would keep him but we have a 15-year-old dachshund and an 8-year-old cat and they have not accepted him. If you want a loving dog to nurture this would be a great addition to your family I'm really seems to be great with kids. If you know somebody else who could adopt this beauty please let us know soon. He will have to go back to the pound soon due to our current animals.
Update: 1-17-25 The Pasadena Humane Society let us know they will be transferring Kona to the San Diego Humane Society on Tuesday, unless we can find a suitable person to adopt him. If you know of anybody local in the Los Angeles area that would love to have a GREAT dog, please let me know. He is a true sweetheart. Also, he is now neutered.

How to Help Your Painful Joints?

In this video, I talk about MSM and how it can help you with painful joints. You will want to know about the three compounds in MSM and how they can significantly help you. Briefly, Glucosamine decreases inflammation and slows down the progression of your disease. Chondroitin helps with joint flexibility and elasticity. And lastly, MSM helps reduce inflammation and helps you sleep due to decreased pain.

Prescription Drugs and Their Interactions in the Human Body.

This video is about prescription drugs and their interactions with the human body. We often talk about “Statin Drugs.” Statins include atorvastatin (Lipitor), fluvastatin (Lescol XL), lovastatin (Altoprev), pitavastatin (Livalo), pravastatin (Pravachol), rosuvastatin (Crestor, Ezallor) and simvastatin (Zocor, FloLipid). Having too much cholesterol in your blood increases your risk of heart attacks and strokes. However, they are instrumental in ripping off your body of CoQ10.

Another medication has to do with Antiacids or Acid-blocking drugs. Antacids are medicines that counteract (neutralize) the acid in your stomach to relieve indigestion and heartburn. They come as liquid or chewable tablets and can be bought from pharmacies and shops without a prescription. However, they are instrumental in ridding your body of crucial nutrients like Magnesium and Vitamin B12.

There are also Gabapentin drugs. Gabapentin is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. Gabapentin treats seizures by decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain. Gabapentin relieves PHN's pain by changing how the body senses pain. But, they are instrumental in getting rid of Vitamin D from your body.

The last class of drugs I want to inform you about is hydrocodone drugs, also known as pain medication. However, they rob your body of melatonin, an essential agent to help you sleep at night.
