Sometimes tho, we have clients who are against it or would say “I don’t need it yet” when we clearly see that he or she does need it.. this raises our 🚩 education flag 🚩 in our minds. And no, this is not all about $$$ but it’s all about helping our clients attain their (they came for that in the first place anyways)

Story time: As we were browsing our instagram feed, a $200 lip filler post came. We were like: “Howww?” Our curiosity bug bit us so we messaged the account and she said she was a Physician Assistant and that her fillers were FDA approved. We then asked what brands of filler she use and she mentioned brands that we KNOW that are FDA-approved. We played along and we asked how much would it cost to dissolve a filler and she said she would have to make sure she would have it in stock before we make an appointment. THIS did it for us. A reputable clinic will, first, have a filler dissolver “hyaluronidase” or “hylenex” on hand AT.ALL.TIMES. 2nd, they should carry FDA approved brands of fillers. 3rd, and most importantly, they have to be licensed provider. We looked up the provider of this certain account and she is NOT a Physician Assistant.

Moral of the story: if it sounds too good to be true, RUN! This is your face people. Please don’t play with fire 🔥 the consequences is SO not worth it just to save few hundreds of dollars.

These are very similar-sounding names of completely different medications. While some are common ingredients in over-the-counter anti-aging creams (e.g. the retinols) and others that are prescription medications (e.g tretinoin) are usually higher doses than mass-produced over-the-counter products. Thereby, making it more effective.
