We are so excited to introduce the Equine-Assisted DBT Skills Group, a unique approach that blends evidence-based DBT skills with experiential work alongside horses, offering a hands-on, embodied approach to the four modules of DBT: emotional awareness, regulation, and connection.
For those who find traditional talk therapy limiting, equine-assisted work can feel more natural, engaging, and deeply impactful.
Through guided activities, participants practice mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness — supported by the unique presence and sensitivity of horses, who offer immediate, honest feedback and help foster trust, confidence, and self-awareness.
There are two sessions available – one for adults and one for adolescents.
📍 Mane Stream, Oldwick, NJ
Fridays
Adults: 3:00–4:30 PM
Adolescents: 4:30–6:00 PM
Facilitated by Liz Johnson, MSW, LCSW & Lizzy Ellman, PsyD of The Behavioral Therapy Collective.
