There's a bill in Colorado that could impact how families access care-and it's important to understand what it means.

This bill would allow Medicaid patients to choose DPC, but only if they
-Pay out of pocket
-Sign that Medicaid will NOT cover those services
-Understand that they can't be reimbursed

At the same time, they still keep access to traditional Medicaid providers.
Why does this matter?
Because it affects how families choose care for their children- and what options are accessible and affordable.

At Pence Pediatrics, we use a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model to provide more personalized care for families.

What DPC IS:

✔ A direct relationship between your family and your pediatrician
✔ A simple monthly membership instead of billing insurance
✔ Longer visits and more time with your doctor
✔ Focus on prevention, wellness, and personalized care
✔ Less time spent on paperwork and insurance, more time focused on your child

What DPC IS NOT:

• It is not health insurance
• It does not replace insurance for emergencies or hospital care
• It is not pay-per-visit medicine

Our goal is simple: bring pediatric care back to relationships, access, and time with your doctor.

As a Direct Primary Care practice, we operate on a monthly membership model rather than billing insurance. At this time, we are unable to accept patients enrolled in Colorado Medicaid due to program regulations.
