KirbyDerby- KMC Welcome to the Kirby Derby page! Each May, Kirby Medical Center hosts the Kirby Derby 5K/10k in Monticello, IL. We hope you’ll join us!

It takes a team—and then some—to bring KirbyDerby- KMC to life! 🏁

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to the incredible Kirby employees who rolled up their sleeves today to help set up for packet pickup tonight and prepare for race day tomorrow. From early planning to final details, so much time, energy, and care goes into making events like this special for our community.

We are truly grateful for the dedication of our volunteers and team members who make it all possible. Be sure to give them a shoutout when you see them—they’re the reason this event runs so smoothly!

Looking for a way to get involved with the Kirby Derby? Join us along the race route to cheer on the participants! 👏🏼

A reminder that this is not a closed course, so streets will be open. We will have volunteers stationed along both routes to help guide race participants and direct car traffic. We encourage anyone traveling by car to take a different route when able. See you Saturday!

Please note the following important details regarding registration:

- If you need to change events, you must do so by 12pm on Friday, May 1st. To make this change, please email KIdleman@kirbyhealth.org

- Registration will be open until 7:30am Saturday morning. The registration process is entirely digital so be sure to have a device and card payment if you plan to register on race day.

To complete your same-day registration, visit KirbyDerby.org or Text H18139 to 49514 to get a direct link. Once you have registered, hop in the race check-in line to get a bib.

It's officially race week! 🤩

Bib and Shirt Pick up will be Friday, May 1st from 4-5:30pm and Saturday, May 2nd from 6:45-7:45am. Both pick up options will be at the Forest Preserve Park pavilion.

Race shirts will be available to those who registered by the t-shirt deadline, 11:59pm cst on April 3rd. Please note: we do not have any extra shirts this year. If you are unsure if you registered in time, our check-in volunteers will be able to tell you when you pick up your bib.
