Each birth comes with its own wisdom. Each baby adding something special and profound into our lives.
To choose midwifery can come with many conversations around what “everyone else” is doing. I find myself shrugging often and going, but this isn’t a product to sell. This is just what we do. What we have always done.

Another family tucked away, blessed again. Honored to serve this family for two of their sweet babes (and watch oldest brother just get so big and wise, each time!)

Some births are just for us.
Not to prove something about home birth, midwives, mothers, or their special babies.
Not for the world to criticize and make commentary on and project their opinions onto.
Some births are just like it always was - women gathering to do what we have always known. To hold space with the most immense Love you could imagine. To witness. To trust.

I no longer need to use these stories to prove what we do is important. I now hold these moments close to my chest and rest in the Knowing my ancestors held, even as they were criticized.

May every Mother be witnessed and held in her highest Power
May we heal the world by loving deeply and fully and unapologetically - starting in our own homes 🙏🏼

✨Seeking RN Birth Assistant for the Summer!!✨
Middle Way Midwifery is searching for a RN who is interested in being a birth assistant for a busy home birth practice this summer! I have 14 predicted births from the end of April thru August 2026 (could end up being more or less if people transfer in or out) (I may need help in March as well which would be 17 predicted births). I am needing a reliable, consistent, well-skilled birth assistant to ensure my clients have a safe home birth with an experienced, loving team. This opportunity could go beyond the end of August as September consults are coming in as well, currently.
These births are across 5 counties, so living in a central location with reliable transportation and comfortability with driving in all weather, at all times of the night, is an absolute must and a non-negotiable.
Obviously, bonus points for labor and delivery experience along with emergency medicine experience. Experience with being on call is also a big bonus.
We will run consistent drills and ensure comfortability with equipment and model of care.

Most importantly, you MUST trust the inherent nature of physiologic birth and have a deep understanding and respect that home birth is a safe decision for many.
