The Origin and Benefits of Yoga Sculpt

Yoga Sculpt is a high-intensity, full-body hybrid workout that combines Vinyasa yoga sequences with light hand weights and cardio, aiming to build lean muscle, increase metabolic rate, and improve flexibility. It strengthens major muscle groups and improves cardiovascular endurance while incorporating mindfulness through breath.

Key Purposes and Benefits of Yoga Sculpt:

Muscular Strength & Definition: Uses light weights and high repetitions to tone and sculpt the entire body.

Cardiovascular Health: Incorporates cardio bursts to boost heart rate and increase endurance.

Flexibility & Mobility: Maintains the core principles of yoga to increase range of motion, improve posture, and prevent injury.

Comprehensive Fitness: Serves as a full-body workout that builds strength, stamina, and, in some cases, aids in weight loss.

Mind-Body Connection: Combines the mental focus of yoga with physical challenges.


It can be performed in a heated room to promote deeper stretching and increased circulation.

Yoga sculpt is a way that we can train the body to be toned, flexible, and increase our cardiovascular fitness.

This type of class can be modified to serve all age groups and by using light weights and high reps it makes it accessible to more people.

Remember that we need all kinds of fitness in our wellness routine, weights, cardio, flexibility, balance training, breath awareness and mindfulness and a healthy eating lifestyle. At the end of the day it’s all about balance!

Due to inclement weather and the potential threat of ice, our club will be staffed starting at 10:00 AM tomorrow.

We will continue monitoring road conditions and weather updates closely. If anything changes, we will update this post immediately.

✅ Reminder: Members still have 24/7 keycard access.

🚫 No guests are permitted during unstaffed hours.
Please also note that tanning, saunas, and guest privileges cannot be used when staff is not present.

City of Moody facilities will be closed Monday, January 26th, due to the possibility of freezing temperatures and hazardous road conditions. The City Council meeting has been canceled. Emergency services will be working to ensure the safety of our community.
Please check the City of Moody page for updates regarding the reopening of City Hall, Moody Senior Center, Doris Stanley Memorial Library, Moody Chamber of Commerce and the Moody Civic Center.

So I also completed my 8 hrs of continuing education requirements for the next two years for my silver sneakers classes. These hours are in addition to my yoga alliance accreditation. I have really enjoyed teaching these classes and enjoy getting to see the progress of my students. Winter has a tendency to keep us inside and I try to use that time to learn new skills to bring into my classes.

So today I have a small career milestone. I have earned my E-RYT200 designation. In order to receive these designations ...

So today I have a small career milestone. I have earned my E-RYT200 designation.
In order to receive these designations you have to do a few things.
First complete a 200 hr teacher training from a registered yoga school.
In order to stay registered you must complete 30 hrs of continuing education. You must also teach a minimum of 45 hours in two years.
In order to earn your ERYT-200 you must teach 1000 hours.
As of the end of 2025 I have taught 1303 hrs of yoga and completed 121 hours of CE course work. I am currently working on two other CE courses.
I am looking forward to continuing my yoga journey and sharing the gift of yoga with others.
