Jack and Wally just discovered pole vaulting this year and have already shown such passion and talent. To help them build on their skills and pursue their athletic dreams, we’re aiming to send them to a summer camp with experienced coaches and specialized shoes. 🏅

As a parent, I want to give them every opportunity to grow and succeed, but the costs are more than we can manage on our own.

Please consider supporting or sharing this to help cover coaching and equipment expenses. Even a small contribution or share can help these young athletes reach new heights! 🙌

Thank you so much for believing in Jack and Wally and helping them chase their dreams.

I realized today that I jumped right into my series on doctrinal differences between the Mormon church and the Bible without really telling my story of why I stopped believing in the LDS faith in the first place.

I now interrupt the series to share that story with you.

Please respect that this is my page to share my story and my beliefs. This is a space for my honesty and healing. Comments that clearly reflect an unwillingness to read what was actually written will not receive a response. Polite questions will be answered. Any attempt to testify to, or proselytize for, the LDS church will be deleted.

The Mormon Jesus and the Biblical Jesus are not the same person. They share a name, but not a nature.

This difference is so foundational that it shapes the entire gospel. It’s also the primary reason most Christians do not consider Mormonism a Christian religion. It isn’t out of hostility, as I was taught my entire life, but because the true identity of Jesus is the core of Christianity itself.

It isn’t my place, or anyone else’s, to judge another person’s relationship with Christ. I know many faithful, loving people in the LDS Church who genuinely desire to follow Him. Scripture does call us to evaluate teachings, and Mormon doctrine simply does not match the biblical gospel.

For so many women leaving or questioning the LDS Church, the very first place things start to unravel is with this simple, and sometimes unsettling question: Who is God, really?

Not the God you were told to picture. Not the God you were told you could become like. Not the God whose approval you spent years trying to earn. But the true God of the Bible.

Understanding the nature of God is foundational because everything else flows from it. God’s nature defines our identity, salvation, worship, worthiness, and even how we understand love.

When your picture of God shifts, the whole story shifts with it.

For me the hardest part of leaving the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (also known as Mormon or LDS), and even when I was just questioning it, was the disorientation. The moments where my brain couldn’t make heads or tails of what I thought I knew through the Mormon doctrine I was raised with, versus what I was learning from truly studying the Bible in depth on my own.

“Wait… what do I actually believe?”

“Why does this feel different than what I was taught?”

“How have I never heard of this principle/event/story before?”

“Does this teaching I was raised with even exist in the Bible?”

“Are Mormon teachings Christian?”

“Is it even okay to ask these questions?”

If that’s you, you’re not alone. And you’re not crazy. And you’re not betraying God by wanting clarity.
