Most kitty owners have at some point been forced to start wondering how to stop cats from scratching furniture. Those claws can be a considerable amount of damage in a very short period of time. In fact, one survey showed that an incredible 42% of complaints to vets about cat behavior were down to scratching. That’s a whole lot of cats messing with the upholstery.

Understandably, when our cats scratch our homes, it upsets us a great deal, and drives a wedge into the relationship we enjoy with them. But there are things you can do to reduce or even stop this behavior!

Piper and Pickles love camping—Mama does not! Mama is a city girl, her idea of roughing it is running out of ice cubes and toilet paper—this is why she makes us carry toilet paper for her. We have yet to see her squat but we did notice her slip the car keys gently into her pocket—we sense trouble in the horizon, we think Mama is going to do a runner😂 😂 😂

No I don’t want to come inside so you can get ready for work. I’m taking advantage of these cool mornings while I can. It’s nice and peaceful out here so why don’t you shuffle off to the kitchen and pour yourself another coffee and come outside and be zen with me ok mom?
