After 13 months of prep, I finally had gastric bypass surgery on June 7th, 2023. -150 lbs so far!

Today I celebrate 18 months since having gastric bypass. I’ve lost 194.4 pounds. To say it’s been life-changing is a gross understatement. I’m so thankful for this tool to finally lose the weight and live a full, healthy, happy life!

Sitting in a booth at a restaurant for lunch today, recalling how I used to barely fit as my belly used to squeeze against the table. I’ve lost 190 pounds and the scale is still dropping, but moments like this are what feels so amazing!!

Face to face Friday: I’m 3/4 of a pound away from losing half of my body weight! I feel amazing and am forever thankful for this change of life.

One year ago today I underwent gastric bypass surgery. What a year it’s been! In one year, I lost 144.5 pounds. I lost 28 prior to surgery, so my total loss is 172.5! I’m blown away by those numbers and am very thankful I made the decision to have surgery. My life has completely changed and I’m so very happy!!

I’m not done losing weight. I don’t know what my body will do from this point on, but I know I’d like to lose a bit more. I’m following my guidelines from my surgeon and licensed dietitian, am hitting the gym and am living a far more active life. I’m throughly enjoying moving my body for the first time and don’t take it for granted. I’m looking forward to hiking on an upcoming vacation!

Today I reached a milestone that I wasn’t sure I’d ever see again. I stepped onto the scale and my weight no longer started with a 3, as it once did. It didn’t start with a 2, either. For the first time since the year 2000, it starts with a 1! I finally made it to ONEderland! I had a personal mini goal to reach it before my surgery anniversary and I did it!

-170.4 pounds as of this morning! 16 more days until my one year surgery anniversary. I’m blown away by the success I’ve had thus far!

Guess who dropped another pant size?! I haven’t been this size since my kiddo was a first grader, she’s about to graduate high school! 👏🏻🤩

I just weighed myself for the week and took my measurements, which I hadn’t done since December. -4.1 this week, -146.3 total.

Some measurement differences:
-5” neck
-8” bust
-26” waist 😳
-8” thigh

Crazy. I’m so thankful for this new life of mine!! 🩷🎉
