Ever woken up seemingly more exhausted than when you went to sleep?
I sure have.
I’ve also meditated for 45 minutes and felt more alert than after a full night’s sleep.
There exists a state between sleep and wakefulness. Hanging out there is powerful because you’re using different brain waves.
When you’re awake, you’re using faster-moving Beta waves.
In dreamless sleep, you’re using the slow moving Delta waves.
In Yoga Nidra (or yogic sleep), you’re more likely to be in between, using Theta and Alpha waves.
These are linked to relaxation and creativity.
April 16, it’s time for our monthly collaboration with
We’re pairing a thermal cycle session with a yoga nidra meditation.
Between the sauna and option cold exposure, we’ll relax your muscles and boost your circulation, leaving your body primed and in the perfect state to start yoga nidra.
Then we’ll build a yoga nidra nest (pillows, eye masks, weighted blanket!) and dive into our yoga nidra practice.
