🧑‍💻 Make sure your Mountaineer is prepared and fueled for finals!

🍽️ WVU Dining Services and Student Life will host a free late-night breakfast from 10 p.m. to midnight at the Mountainlair on Monday, May 4. Scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, French toast bites, and more will be served. Shuttle buses will run continuously from Towers to the Lair throughout the event.

The PRT is now back in operation. For the remainder of the day (4/30), passengers traveling from Engineering, Towers, or Health Sciences to Beechurst will initially bypass Beechurst, loop around Walnut, and return to Beechurst to avoid a rail issue. The PRT team will work on the rail issue after the PRT closes tonight.

Emergency officials are responding after a report of an electrical arc issue involving a PRT car near the Beechurst PRT Station. Several students evacuated the PRT car through a back window. PRT service from the Engineering PRT Station to the Beechurst PRT Station will be unavailable until further notice.

💛💙 Students Encouraged to Donate Unwanted Items to 20th Annual Blue & Gold Mine Sale

📌 Beginning Monday, May 4th, students can drop off unwanted items at any WVU residence hall as well as six (6) drop off locations around Morgantown. Acceptable items include but are not limited to furniture, clothing, appliances, décor, sporting equipment, electronics, and the list goes on.

📌 WVU’s Blue & Gold Mine Sale, an annual yard-sale like event, will offer great deals on donated goods on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 7 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm at the East Concourse of Milan Puskar Stadium.

💞 This event keeps about 25 tons of goods out of landfills annually, and all proceeds benefit WVU’s campaign for the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.

🗓️ Donation Dates: May 4th-May 13th

🎶 "WVU music business and industry alum Sarah Giles made her way from Morgantown to Nashville after graduation well prepared for her current role in artist management with performers that include Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, Dylan Scott and Chayce Beckham. She’s also working on her third studio album and recently joined the faculty in the music business and industry program as an online instructor."

✨ On April 14, the Mountaineer Parents Club partnered with WVU Student Life and former Provost Maryanne Reed for the “Dough It Yourself: Cookies Creations” event for students.

🍪 Eleven students joined us for a night of baking and fun. Students were provided with a recipe and ingredients to mix up the cookie dough and then were able to bake the cookies, share with other students and take cookies home for later (😋).

🧚🏼‍♀️ Cookie Fairy Maryanne Reed led the baking and shared baking tips. She also bakes cookies as one of the Cookie Fairies, a group of bakers who deliver cookies across Morgantown to charities and non-profits.
