What are “creative movement” classes, really? And what will your kids learn in our classes?
Sometimes “creative movement” can sound vague. Or perhaps, like a music “free-for-all.” But our classes are full of carefully curated exercises that promote community, inclusion, and creativity.
🌿At The Dance Haven, we believe that kids’ choices are important. We believe in creating a safe space for kids to express their creativity, and we help them build confidence by valuing their unique artistic expression.
🌿 We structure exercises to foster communication (both verbal and nonverbal). We help dancers build connections among peers.
🌿 Student will learn to “tune into” their bodies to prevent injury.
🌿 Students will learn improvisational methods that they can carry through entire lives. Improv helps our dancers make quick decisions, trust their intuition, and express themselves fearlessly.
🌿 It’s fun! Our classes are full of imagination, props, upbeat music, and camaraderie!
🌿 Creative Movement is inherently inclusive. People of all ages, abilities, and dance backgrounds can fit seamlessly together in our classes.
