Notice where the body clenches as it tries to hold everything together. In this shape, the floor is your ally. You do not need to carry the world while you are on this mat. 🤍

Comfort is great for nervous system regulation.

For our practice this week, we use a thinly rolled blanket placed horizontally under the shoulder blades. This small adjustment allows the tops of the shoulders to rest on the mat, gently opening the heart space without force.

It’s a soft landing for a heavy day.

You’ll need:
A bolster (or long pillow)
A blanket
Grab your props and meet me on the mat for a 20-minute all on the floor class. https://youtu.be/lTt1Z5VfS1Q

We often round our shoulders to protect what hurts.

In this week's new practice, we explore the "Open Book Twist." It is a gentle act of courage to un-shield the heart. You don’t have to be "over" your grief to be open to the present moment. You just have to stay here, exactly as you are.

The floor is your ally. Let it carry the weight for a while.

Until our paths cross again here on the mat, be gentle with your heart.

The "sigh" is a biological reset for the nervous system. It tells your brain that, for this moment, the struggle can pause. 🤍

The class is live. 🤍

Today, we do not try to 'fix' the grief. We simply move with it. We stay close to the earth and allow the floor to carry the weight that you held on your own.

This 20-minute practice is a soft landing for your heart and a biological reset for your nervous system. Whether you are navigating a fresh loss or a quiet, heavy season, please know: your feelings are safe here.

Grief is not just a thought; it is a physical weight.

It settles in the hips, tightens the center of the chest, and makes the body feel fragile. When we navigate loss—of a person, a dream, or a version of ourselves—we often try to "push through."

But what if we just moved with it instead?

This Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., a new practice arrives at Sovereign Yoga School. A 20-minute, floor-based flow designed to let the earth carry the weight you’ve been holding on your own.

No fixing. No rushing. Just space for your heart. 🤍

Last call for the 'Heart Armor' melt!

If you’ve been scrolling past my posts all week thinking, 'I really need that,' this is your sign. Tomorrow we move on to something new, but today, this 20-minute Social Anxiety flow is exactly where the magic is.

We aren't doing anything fancy. We’re just using our bodies to tell our brains that it’s safe to be seen, safe to breathe, and safe to take up as much space as we want.

If you’ve got 20 minutes before the Tuesday chaos kicks in, go hit the link in my bio. Your nervous system is ready for a break.

Monday morning usually comes with a side of 'What if?' and 'I have to.'

When social anxiety or life-stress hits, we tend to carry it right in the back of the neck and the tops of the shoulders. It’s like carrying a backpack full of rocks that don't belong to you.

In the new flow, we use the Ragdoll fold to literally dump that weight onto the mat. We’re letting the head hang, the jaw soften, and the spine decompress.
You don't have to carry it all. Spend 20 minutes with me today and leave the 'rocks' on the mat.
