Press Release April 10, 2023
For Immediate Release

NCVRC Closing Johnson Location

It is with careful consideration that North Central Vermont Recovery Center has decided to close our Johnson location, effective Friday, April 14, 2023.

Morrisville, VT – April 10, 2023

While we’re saddened to depart from Johnson, we’re also excited and hopeful about our future and yours at our Morrisville location. Since 2010, NCVRC’s commitment has been to provide
safe, judgment-free, recovery support services for individuals and families affected by Substance Use Disorder. That remains unchanged, and in fact, we believe that consolidating
our staff and services back to just one location in Morrisville will help us be even more effective in our efforts to serve Lamoille County.

We are a small non-profit with a big job to do. Fortunately, we have an amazing staff of peers in recovery to help guide you in your recovery, as well as helping to guide our organization toward
what our community needs from us. We’re listening to them, and we’re listening to you. This move will ensure that we have enough staff and resources to provide the quality of recovery
support services our community members deserve.

This decision is amicable between NCVRC and Jenna's Promise and you will continue to see us sponsoring community events together
and continuing the work of improving recovery supports in Lamoille County and our efforts to contribute to the statewide continuum of care.

“Our two organizations have created a strong
relationship these past few years. We won’t share a building together going forward, but the ties that bind us go far beyond that. We are excited to continue our work together to tackle the crisis of substance use in our community.” — Gregory Tatro

Because our primary focus remains providing quality recovery support services, we want to reassure you that many, if not all, of the services you’ve been a part of in Johnson will remain
available to you. We’ve been fortunate to partner with the Tatro family and be a part of their incredible endeavors through Jenna’s Promise to provide a safe haven for people in recovery in
the Johnson community. That partnership will continue and the programming you’ve come to know, love, and rely upon will remain available to you in Johnson. We offer a sincere thank you
to the Tatro Family and all of Jenna’s Promise for supporting this transition and making it as seamless as possible for our amazing recovery community.

As they have since 2010, our doors at NCVRC in Morrisville are open to you, wherever you are on your recovery journey.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month!

The purpose of Alcohol Awareness Month is to educate Americans about the dangers of alcohol use.

Over 17 million Americans have a serious problem with alcohol, but only a fraction of that number ever seek help to start their journey to recovery.

Thankfully there's help available.

The NCVRC offers a plethora of support services including pathway guides, meetings, recovery coaching, and a holistic approach to recovery via our Health & Wellness Program.
