❤️❤️❤️
Last month, I was invited to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, home of the 101st Airborne Division. The organization I collaborated with was Connected Warriors, whose mission is to teach proven Yoga techniques to military service members, veterans and their families, offering free classes at almost 100 locations nationwide, 7 Veterans Medical Centers, 4 Universities, 3 military bases, and 2 naval ships. Connected Warriors arranged for me to work with a variety of active duty soldiers, some of them having served over 25 years. Most of them had been deployed numerous times and many will be deployed again.
This was one of the most sobering, heartfelt and just plain awesome collaborations of my career, being in the presence of human beings willing to give their life in the name of service. It has been an honor to have gained their trust to tell their story. But that's not all. They too, add to their story, as each one of these humble warriors immediately sent me some writing from the heart to include with the work we created together, making this an immensely intimate and meaningful portfolio in celebration of Veterans on their day. I encourage you to hear each of their voices, and if inspired, share this album and spread the awareness that yoga heals.

P.S. If you are a yoga teacher or a studio owner, this is how you can support the 'Free Yoga for Vets Project.' This is a call to action for the month of November. It is not too late to begin and it does not just have to be for November.
Email info@RobertSturmanStudio.com for a free tool kit to participate in this exciting, game changing project. Include 'VETERANS' in the subject. Get your studio on board with hundreds of others participating. You can start anytime. It's never too late.
You can also host a donation class for the The Give Back Yoga Foundation. Every $5 raised can fund a free Mindful Yoga Therapy practice guide for a veteran, and every $75 can sponsor a free Yoga Readiness Kit for an active duty service member. http://givebackyoga.org/give-back-yoga-november/
