Veterans Day

This isn’t your typical “thank you for your service” post.

We’ve been part of Operation Catching Freedom for the last few years, and it’s more than an event — it’s a reminder that we’re all in this together.

As a veteran, I’ve lost more than a dozen friends to su***de. It’s a painful reality that too many of us know firsthand. So today, beyond saying thank you, I want to say this:

• It’s okay to not be okay.
• Reach out. Talk to someone.
• Find a local group like Operation Catching Freedom — people who get it, who care, and who want to stand beside you and get to know you.

The Bellotti Brothers at the 76th Annual Big Yak

At the 2025 Fall Big Yak, 18-year-old Austin Bellotti won the Steve Simon Handicap event Short-Yardage with a 93 on Saturday, Sept 13 and followed it up on Sunday with yet another High Gun Mid-Yardage in the Big Yak Handicap with a score of 95.

16-year-old Alex, won the Junior class Lowel Rodgers Singles with a 97 and the Steve Simon Handicap Mid-Yardage class with a 93 on Saturday followed by another win in Junior class with a 96 in the Joe King Singles on Sunday.

Team Lapua’s Erich Mietenkorte Sweeps Washington State Championships! 🏆 Over the weekend of August 23–24, at the historic Pe Ell Sportsman’s Club in Pe Ell, Washington, Erich Mietenkorte showed unmatched consistency and skill, completing a sweep of all four 2025 Washington State Rifle Silhouette Championships, following his two High Power Championship wins earlier in August.

The Pe Ell Sportsman’s Club has become a legendary stage for competitors who embrace the challenge of the four iconic steel animals: chickens at 40 meters, pigs at 60, turkeys at 77, and rams at a distant 100 meters.

On Saturday, Erich delivered in the Standard Rifle Championship, posting 37x40 in his first 40-shot match and followed it with a 38x40 in the second, earning him the championship with a winning aggregate score of 75x80. On Sunday, Erich competed in the Hunting Rifle portion, where the lighter rifle and a minimum two-pound trigger pull make precision ex*****on even more critical. He posted a 35x40 in the morning match and followed it with a 37x40 in the afternoon, finishing with a 72x80 aggregate to claim the Hunting Rifle title and complete his smallbore sweep at Pe Ell. 💪
