💙 I like to post this as a gentle reminder each year. 🎃 Children who carry a blue pumpkin for Halloween are likely non-verbal, and have Autism. So, if you have a child with a blue pumpkin show up, just be sensitive, they may not be able to speak. 💙

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As we all know it is famous for the color pink. You are to wear the color pink throughout the month of October to show your support. On October 13th it is Pink Ribbon Day. That was the day everyone was to wear their pink ribbons to show support and try to raise awareness for best cancer. There is a few things we as women can do to try to help with early detection of best cancer.

If you find anything suspicious or suspect you might have breast cancer, make an appointment with the physician as soon as possible.
It is very important we are there for each other, to lift one another up and support one another through those trying times. "No one fights alone!"

Yesterday, the 12th, was World Arthritis Day. It joined people together with rheumatoid and musculoskeletal illnesses and tried to bring awareness to the illnesses. As we know arthritises can be very painful and with rheumatoid often times debilitating and crippling. There is many medicines now days on the market for arthritis. There is also ointments and creams that are now on the market that are believed to help a great deal as well with the arthritic pain. Arthritis can be genetic as well as come from a result of an injury to a certain area. If you feel you may have arthritis, please make an appointment with your PCP, and have it checked so you can get treatment as soon as possible.💙

September is Sepsis Awareness Month. Did you know that sepsis is the leading cause of death in U.S. hospitals? Sepsis is a serious condition where the body responds inappropriately to an infection. The body's infection-fighting processes turn against itself, causing the it's organs to work poorly.
Sepsis, if left untreated or if treated in later stages may progress into septic shock. This can cause a dramatic drop in blood pressure that can damage major internal organs. When the damage is severe, it can lead to death. Early detection and treatment of sepsis improves chances of survival.

Symptoms of Sepsis
*Change in mental status
*Fast, shallow breathing
*Sweating for no reason
*Feeling lightheaded
*Shivering
* Symptoms can be specific to the type of infection it may be(ie.- painful urination, cough)

💙If you suspect you or a loved one may have sepsis report to the nearest emergency department.❤️
