This month is Psoriasis Action Month. Psoriasis is and can be a very debilitating disease for some. It impacts more than 8 million individuals in the U.S. and 125 million worldwide. This was created to generate awareness of the disease and provide resources and info for people living with psoriasis.
Here are some things you may find interesting or didn't know concerning psoriasis.

Medical Treatments For:
❤️ Topical treatments
Creams, ointments, lotions

💙Light Therapy
Ultraviolet Light-Such as UVB

❤️Systematic Medications
Oral or injected drugs-Such as Methotrexate or Cyclosporine

💙Biologics
Newer, targeted immune therapies

Some other ways you yourself can help with psoriasis:
-Be sure to apply moisturizers
-Bathe in lukewarm water
-Use petroleum jelly to lock in moisture

-Make lifestyle changes, for example:
-managing stress
-eating an anti-inflammatory diet
-getting moderate exercise
-limiting alcohol
-avoiding smoking
