Yesterday was a big day at the Eye Center of Racine and Kenosha 👀 and we want to thank the Glaukos team for the opportunity to help with the next generation of the iDose inserter! Our case went great today!

Megan – Prior Authorizations for Surgery
January marks 5 years with the practice

Megan was first inspired to pursue a career in eye care through her best friend, Missy, and Missy’s mother, Lisa—both long-time members of Emer Eye Care. Hearing their stories about helping patients choose the right glasses and witnessing Dr. Emer’s impact saving countless lives sparked Megan’s desire to join the Eye Centers of Racine and Kenosha and work alongside some of the best surgeons in the area.

In her current role handling prior authorizations for surgery and in-office procedures, Megan thrives on the responsibility and challenge of ensuring that every detail is correct and nothing slips past her. She takes pride in helping both patients and the clinic move smoothly through each step of the surgical process.

Her favorite part of patient care is earning trust. Megan makes sure patients know they can rely on her throughout their journey—no matter the question or concern—and that she will always help directly or find someone who can.

Born and raised in Kenosha, WI, Megan grew up with her mother, father, and four brothers. A fun fact about her is that she genuinely loves coming to work, learning new things, and being surrounded by uplifting colleagues.

Outside of work, Megan dedicates her time to her children, who motivate her daily. Watching them play sports, learn, and grow into the best versions of themselves brings her the greatest joy.

Her favorite show is Grey’s Anatomy—she loves watching the “miracles,” even if they’re fictional, because they give her hope. As for coffee or tea, she enjoys both, but never starts a workday without her coffee.
