October was a quiet month. It’s usually the month where it starts to get all gray and rainy in Western Washington, but I did manage to steal some time outside with the sun.
I spent most of the month finalizing the Centered in Romance ebook + audiobook bundle, selling herbal oils at local fairs, and doing some decluttering around my house in preparation for spending more time indoors during the colder + darker months.
There’s an irresistible pull for me this time of year to slow down + simplify. I tend to sleep + rest a lot more, spend more time in contemplation, and do a lot less.
I used to really struggle in late autumn and winter. But once I surrendered to my own seasonal rhythms and learned to appreciate the forced stillness during this time of year, it doesn’t feel so miserable.
November, in particular, is an angsty month for me. I’m not sure if it’s Scorpio season, daylight savings, holidays, or all of the above. But I tend to get really rattle-snakey, so I take extra care to tend to myself and my nerves this time of year.
For those of you who’ve bought the ebook + audiobook bundle, I hope you’re enjoying it. And for my latest students in Foundations - I hope you’re finding your center ❤️
Happy Halloween 🎃
