Happy Lammas, friends.

Lammas is the first of several harvest holidays you’ll see in various circles of paganism or earth-based spirituality. Following Lammas is Mabon (the equinox) and Samhain (Halloween).

This is the time of year when everything is SO abundant. In my area, berries and other fruits are ripening, grains are ready for harvest, and farmers markets are bountiful.

I’ve been eagerly waiting for the arrival and fresh figs at my local Haggen’s, and they’re here 😍

While summer is in full swing and the heat has definitely arrived, Lammas (and August in general) is where we might start to notice signs of our descent into the darker, colder part of the year.

For me, there’s something about the breeze at night that sings to me about autumn, halloween, and solstice. There’s a noticeable chill that contrasts with the days heat.

This time of year is a great time to simply pause and be grateful for the abundance of mama earth - thank her for the food, the medicine, and the beauty we get to behold each day.

🌻 August Events: Fairs, Women’s Healing Circle, and Community Healing Day ⬇️

Hi friends - here is what I have in store for ya’ll in August.

🔮 Women’s Outdoor Healing Circle - I have a series of outdoor women’s energy healing circles this summer that I am SO excited about. For August they take place on 8/7 and 8/21. At this circle, women gather to help channel energy to one another to heal. If you’re looking for some rejuvenating sisterhood, you’re in the right place. $20 per person, spots are limited.

🌿 Metaphysical Faire - I’m only doing one Saturday of the fair this month at Mystical Wares in Mount Vernon, WA. At this faire, I have ritual + beauty oils for sale and I offer 15 minute energy cleanses by donation. If you’re curious about energy work, this is a great place to come see what it is about!

✨ Community Healing Day: At Vera Massage in Burlington, I’ll be offering 20 min energy work sessions by donation. This is a GREAT way to experience energy work and intuitive coaching if you’re curious about it but don’t want to book a full session.

PS: I am now offering full-priced in-person healing sessions at Vera Massage Studio in Burlington on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

Let’s be real - if you’ve ever dipped your toe in spirituality (especially the new age stuff), you might feel like some of the content you see is a little “out there”.

Star seeds, reptilian aliens on the moon, refusing to acknowledge unpleasant emotions, and blatantly ignoring oppressive systems - thats enough to turn quite a few people off.

Me, personally, I think the most spiritual thing you can be is human. The human condition itself is already so magical, you don’t really need to worry about which star you came from to enjoy it.

I am of the belief that spirituality should help us root deeper into human experience, not transcend it. I don’t think we came to this planet to dissociate. We came here to be fully alive - to experience grief, joy, rage, bliss, and the temporary and fragile nature of existence.

This is the belief system infused into my work.

My name is Kris. I’m a former scientist-in-training turned mystic. During my graduate training in research psychology I started to experience things I simply could not explain, and it’s been a wild ride ever since.

I am an eternal and humble student of the mystery we call life, and I won’t pretend to have all the answers. But here are some spiritual truths I can share, which are backed by science:

👉🏼 Everything is energy, and our attention directs the flow of it.
👉🏼 Visualization and imagination are the most powerful tools you have for finding the peace, joy, and meaning you seek.
👉🏼 We are all more deeply connected to each other and the planet than we realize
👉🏼 Sound has the power to heal the mind, body, and spirit
👉🏼 Plants have consciousness and can speak to us and each other - and they are some of our most powerful allies in holistic health and wellness
👉🏼 Healing happens in community. There is a limit to what you can heal alone, and the truth is, you were never meant to.

I’m a trauma-informed energy worker and herbalist that helps you create the right conditions for you to heal. I offer 1:1 and group healings in the Skagit Valley, WA area.

Beltane and Samhain have always felt energetically similar to me.

While Beltane honors life and Samhain honors death, they both carry this magical quality of a thinning veil.

Like other worlds and other beings are close by.

In many ways, I do feel as if I’m standing in both at the same time.

It’s almost as if I can sense the axis I’m standing on. One side of the world is coming alive while the other side of the world is settling into death.

Many seeds that I’ve planted are coming to fruition, which is fun to see.

Hawthorn (the May Flower) is finally blooming.

New Batch of Ritual Body oils ✨🌿⬇️

This year I was inspired by my guides to add four new products to my botanical line, Norn Botanicals.

🌊 Rán’s Blessing - Named after the Norse personification of the sea, Rán, this is ultimate sea witch ritual body oil infused with coastal mugwort, coastal rose, coastal yarrow, and Icelandic sea kelp. Perfect for rituals working with oceanic energy or deities. It smells like the PNW ocean to me. This oil was inspired by a Siren spirit guide of mine 🧜🏼‍♀️

🪬 Seidr’s Sight - Seidrs are a powerful kind of norse witch who do shamanic work with the spirits of both the land and the stars. This potent oil is infused with mugwort and rose to help the wearer journey into other realms and enhance their sight (3rd 👁️). I got the mugwort from a dear friend, so this batch is extra special.

💰 Fehu Abundance oil - named after the norse fine for abundance, Fehu, this potent oil is infused with dandelion root, chamomile, and cinnamon and is perfect for any and all workings with calling in abundance or healing money wounds (root chakra issues).

🧿 🔨Thor’s Hammer - my personal favorite this time ‘round, this oil is infused with St. John’s Wort and Fir needle to protect the wearer from the evil eye. Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, was known for being useful in slaying giants and other troublesome creatures in Norse mythology. St. John’s Wort is known in ancient lore to protect from evil and bring good fortune - you can see the deep red color of the crushed flower pretty clearly in this oil!

Tomorrow I’ll be at in Mount Vernon for the metaphysical faire and I won’t be back until May. I have too many fun things planned in April 🤩

I just strained new batches of oils!

For those of you that love my silky face oil, sunna’s radiance (calendula, chamomile, marshmallow root), I have more bottles!

I also have more bottles of Huldra’s Cloak (cedar + juniper) and Shieldmaiden’s Focus (rosemary + peppermint).
