Hello, I'm Tricia Sheehan. I've been working with children and art, and loving nature since I was 10 years old. I grew up in Pennsylvania where I experienced wonderful things growing all around me in my backyard. There were little woods on one side and a creek on the other and an organic garden. I also had the awesome experience of being with our horses and collies when they gave birth. There were
healing plants that grew all around us and lots of the older farm woman who knew, and taught me how to use them. (my first mentors) I was so grateful to learn at the hand of herbalist Bertha Reppert, author of Herbs With Confidence and founder of The Rosemary House (therosemaryhouse.com), Later I moved to North Carolina, where I worked as a nanny as well as at the local health food store. Both were equally great experiences! I also had the honor of meeting and learning from wise women from the Cherokee reservation. I then had the great opportunity to move to Northern California where I went to school for massage and craniosacral therapy (250 hrs.) the Hugh Milne - A visionary approach to craniosacral (Milne Institute) along with studies in reflexology, continuum movement and energy work. I've been working with craniosacral since 2004. I work with adults and children with multiple sclerosis, immune disorders, autism, ADHD and a variety of other childhood diagnoses. infertility issues, prenatal and postpartum woman and newborns. Within a few years, I found a wonderful man and we started a lovely family ending up with 4 boys! I am grateful to say that I have had the opportunity to try my hand at natural parenting...things like homebirth, breastfeeding, attachment parenting, and homeschooling. I would not trade it for the world! My love for herbs and healing plants have lead me to study with prominent herbalist Rosemary Gladstar (sagemountain.com) and attend the one of the Montana Herb Gatherings to creating my Naturalist Art program - I love that I can pass my love of nature and healing on to the children and adults too! and I will continue to learn for as long as I live on this beautiful earth! I also now create my own healing salves, cremes, sitz baths and teas for new and nursing mothers and others as well.
