For over two decades, Patrick Sheridan's relationship with KHS has been one of genuine creative and educational partnership. As a product consultant, he has contributed directly to the design and development of instruments across the Jupiter and XO brass lines — every conversation shaped by a single question: does this make it easier for a young musician to find their voice? His influence lives not in marketing materials, but in the instruments themselves.

Alongside his work in instrument design, Sheridan has carried KHS’s mission into schools, masterclasses, and music programs across the globe — championing the idea that access to excellence should begin on Day One, not years down the road.

Twenty years ago, Patrick Sheridan made a decision rooted not in commerce, but in conviction. One of the world's most celebrated tuba soloists and music educators, Sheridan chose to partner with KHS Musical Instruments because he shared the company’s belief that the instrument in a beginner’s hands matters just as much as the one held by a professional.

Today, on International Tuba Day, KHS marks two decades of that partnership — and the profound, lasting impact it has had on how young musicians around the world experience music.
