Well, a bit of good news to share...I did have to start taking another blood pressure medicine, but it is working. Weird thing is that it makes me feel hot and start sweating, not sure if that's a side effect or what. I go back May 6th to get my labs taken to make sure it's not affecting my kidneys and liver. I've also lost 6 lbs. somewhere, I don't know where it went but I'm not gonna look for it..lol...(Dad, keep your comments to yourself 😂) Thanks for praying and please continue to pray...I'm still winning on this journey...😊

After almost 2 and a half years, I still buy the wrong size 🤷‍♀️for some reason I can't leave the old me behind. I haven't gained any weight, but haven't lost a lot either. I'm getting this hernia fixed this summer though and hopefully I can conquer the next 100lbs. with no problems. It used to be easy, but now not so much. Prayers please as I continue this journey. Thanks!

I'm not where I wanna be yet, but I'm pleased with my progress so far. A new position in the fall is exciting, I'm gonna work hard this summer to hit my goal weight or close to it hopefully at the close of summer break. I feel great and just want to get back on track 😊 I like to post before and afters not to show off, but to remind myself that I don't want to go back to what I was. Here's to the summer and to new adventures in the fall....

I am now only on 1 blood pressure medicine, and it will be going bye-bye next. It's time to kick it in high gear and get these next 80 lbs off forever! I feel great and can't wait until I get to buy new clothes again....here's to the next 80 😊

I haven't updated in a while, so here goes: It has been a little over 9 months since I had gastric bypass, I reached another milestone this week...I have lost a total of 125 lbs. since December!! I feel great, I have energy that I didn't know I could have. I am going to brag just a little bit...I helped Kevin mow today and it was actually fun! He is still laughing at me cause he said I'd be sore tomorrow, but hey I was able to help him mow so we'd have more time to spend together. We went to yard sales early and then mowed. I love these days we get together, and the weather...oh man, God has blessed us with some nice days as a matter of fact God has blessed us so much over the years. My weight loss has given me a whole new lease on life, I didn't never want the surgery to be "skinny" I wanted it so I could be healthy and I'm on my way. I'm just about 87lbs. away from my goal so it won't be long. I hope you all have a beautiful week and remember to stop and count your blessings for God is so good all the time.(Please excuse my fuzzy hair..lol..)

Officially 112 lbs. down (275) Week #30...
and I feel great! I have more energy than I have had since high School. With school quickly approaching, I went out and bought new clothes for the first time. No more gray ugly polo's for me, I actually was able to buy "professional" clothes, clothes that a teacher should be wearing. The kind I was never able to buy before because I was just too big. I'm so excited to get back to my classroom, it's going to be a challenge having to wear a mask, but like they say...the show must go on. I'm especially excited to see my students, if they choose to come in to school, if not I'll see them virtually. I'm going to definitely write a journal about this year as one of the craziest years of my life, but you know.. God is still blessing despite all the storms of life and he is still in control. I pray that my friends all know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, I believe the time is near when God shall call all of his children home. Get ready friends, it's almost time to meet Jesus! God bless, stay safe :)

94 more lbs. till I reach my goal weight 💪 😁

04/05/2020

Well, here it is my first post in May! This is my birthday month..yay! It's also the month my Peanutty was supposed to go on her Senior trip and graduate. Things change but I am so proud of her, she is still working hard on her assignments and she has done great through this pandemic. My sweet Danicka cut her own hair, but thankfully it was in the back on the underneath side...this child keeps me on my toes. She had a good school year and I am proud of her, just can't believe I have one exiting high school and one going into high school.
This Wednesday will be 20 weeks since I had my surgery. I just knew this pandemic would put a kink in everything I worked toward. It has slowed the process but by no means did I give up. I'm still losing weight as a matter of fact I am now at 297, that is 90 lbs. of weight gone forever! I feel great although my hair is starting to thin out...but on the bright side my hair is not so heavy. Protein shakes and water are still my best friends. I don't often crave sweets but if I do I eat a couple bites of sugar free cool whip and that usually does the trick! Hopefully by this time next year, I will be another 100 lbs. lighter. My goal weight is 185, so I have about 112lbs. to go. I'll update in a few weeks but in the meantime I'm spending quality time with Kevin , the girls, and Little Britches :) Have a great May! I'm turning 42 on the 31st 😁

Week 18 - 87 lbs. down...1 more pound and I'll be in the 2's again 😁

These last few weeks have been challenging, and the rest of this summer will be also. I do have to say even on hard days, when I wanted to give up on my journey, I persevered. I actually thought that I might gain weight back, but I have actually lost 2 more pounds. I never want to go back to my old ways, I certainly don't want to gain any weight back. I have been getting my protein and vitamins in. I found out today that I can meet with my dietician virtually, so I can't wait to set that up. I've cleaned and cleaned on parts of the house, I've kept up with the laundry..these things I could have never done just one year ago. It feels good to be able to just bend over to pick something up off the floor or walk around without losing my breath. I'm now down to 309, I'm edging toward the 200's, slowly but surely I'll get there :)
