3 months ago today, I found mom on the floor. She was barely conscious and had dark blue lips from lack of oxygen. It was a very scary, grim looking day. She spent 20 days combined, in the hospital and rehab. When she came home she was still very weak and using a walker. She has had 5 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy treatments and starts her 6th round next Monday. Yesterday she drove 3 hours to Paducah, KY to see me and help bring some of my things to my new home. Today she was walking around Hobby Lobby pushing Dad in a wheel chair. She has stage 4 cancer and has been through so much, but you wouldn't know it seeing her today. In just 3 months she has shown how strong she is. She is still Mom, taking care of Dad and all of us kids. (Please add Dad to your prayers. His Alzheimer's symptoms are becoming worse). She is the most incredible woman I have ever known and we get to call her Mom! Thank you all so very much for your support, prayers, and positive energy. You can see it working through her every day. She still has more rounds of chemo, which do get her down for the first couple weeks. Her strength prevails each time though and she thoroughly enjoys her break between rounds. Miracles do still happen. Thank you all very much!!!
