Currently she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma. She started chemo therapy treatments yesterday and has one more treatment in the morning. If everything goes well from the treatments, her oxygen levels improve and she stops retaining fluid she will be released from the hospital. We are hoping for Monday. She will then become outpatient for the remainder of her treatments unless complications arise. She will also receive physical therapy a few days per week. Her chemo therapy treatments are currently once a week with each cycle lasting about 4 weeks. If you would like to send care packages or cards please PM this page and we will relay the information needed. Thank you all for your support and share this page with all of the people that care for her

One of the best Christmas presents our family could receive is, our mother went from stage 4 to remission in 7 months! Mom is officially in remission and working on finalizing the details for the stem cell transplant. She is the most incredible wine ever to so calmly fight such an intense battle. Thank you all for your continued support throughout her journey. Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

3 months ago today, I found mom on the floor. She was barely conscious and had dark blue lips from lack of oxygen. It was a very scary, grim looking day. She spent 20 days combined, in the hospital and rehab. When she came home she was still very weak and using a walker. She has had 5 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy treatments and starts her 6th round next Monday. Yesterday she drove 3 hours to Paducah, KY to see me and help bring some of my things to my new home. Today she was walking around Hobby Lobby pushing Dad in a wheel chair. She has stage 4 cancer and has been through so much, but you wouldn't know it seeing her today. In just 3 months she has shown how strong she is. She is still Mom, taking care of Dad and all of us kids. (Please add Dad to your prayers. His Alzheimer's symptoms are becoming worse). She is the most incredible woman I have ever known and we get to call her Mom! Thank you all so very much for your support, prayers, and positive energy. You can see it working through her every day. She still has more rounds of chemo, which do get her down for the first couple weeks. Her strength prevails each time though and she thoroughly enjoys her break between rounds. Miracles do still happen. Thank you all very much!!!

Mom and Dad having a wonderful visit with these 3 monkeys. They haven't seen Grandma and Grandpa in 6 months. What a beautiful visit. Mom has been feeling the negative side effects of chemo much more strongly with this round. Weakness and extreme fatigue are the biggest problems, but she continues to smile an push through each day. She has a 2 week break and then her 4th round starts. Keep praying and sending her loving, positive energy. She still has a long battle ahead of her. Thank you all for everything!

Mom has received some really great news this week. Her pet scan came back really good. Her treatment is working very well, as far as, the lymph nodes, but they aren't sure about the bone marrow yet. She still needs to get her labs up a little more, but they are way better than before. Everything is looking very good. She is an amazing fighter and determined not to let the disease win. She also had many prayers answered about the financial portion that has really taken a huge load off her shoulders. So amazing how wonderfully things can change in such a short time. She needed all of this great news and so did we. Please keep sending her love, prayers and positive energy. It is definitely being received. Thank you for all of your support!!

This woman is incredible!! May 15th I found her on the floor, barely conscious with dark blue lips from lack of oxygen. 4 days later she received her official diagnosis of stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma. She fought very hard over the last few months. She is down almost 100lbs from the day she went into the hospital. She is up and about on her own, even driving some again. She was able to spend a few days in Cincinnati with family over 4th of July. Her and Dad spent a weekend in Gatlinburg as well. There is no doubt she is the strongest woman I know. Her battle isn't over just yet. Tomorrow starts another round of chemo. However, I feel more confident everyday she will continue fighting strong. Please continue to send your support, love and prayers. We appreciate all you have sent already.

Barbara took a trip to visit family over the 4th of July weekend. This is tradition for her and she didn't want to miss it. She has another round of chemo coming up this week and then a break is scheduled and testing will take place to see her progression and how the chemo is working. Keep praying and keep your positive words of encouragement coming.
