Juneteenth is not just a day off — it’s a day of truth, remembrance, and celebration.

On June 19, 1865, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, the last enslaved Black people in Galveston, Texas were finally informed they were free. 𝑻𝑯𝑨𝑻 is why we celebrate. Not because freedom was granted, but because our ancestors survived long enough to claim it.

Juneteenth honors their resilience, our roots, and the continued fight for equity and justice. Make no mistake…we don’t need permission to celebrate our liberation — we do it because it’s our right, our history, and our power. ✊🏾❤️🖤💚
