Birthing Undisturbed
Hello, I am Erika. Thank you for being here. I am a trained Doula by Blissful Birthing, TN and Indie Birth Organization. My approach to support goes beyond labor and many prenatal visits. Is only this way that mom can feel full trust in me and feel comfortable during such intimate time in her life. Birthing Undisturbed is for the woman who is tune with her intuition, or perhaps, wants to tap in deeper and believe in herself. Pregnancy and birth brings about every emotion there is and I am here to support you in whatever form that looks like. My ultimate goal is to be of resource and someone you can talk to and asks the questions.
My passion for birth work started in 2015. When the idea of another baby came to mind after 15 years from my first birth. It was then where I started doing research on a different birth experience. We did Bradley Method classes and had a pretty normal pregnancy until I was told I had IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction). After being induced with my most awaited baby I knew there had to be a better way. It was then I immersed myself in an intensive two year research on physiological, undisturbed birth. I started to be empower and to believe in my ability to birth. I found myself trusting my baby and body. I learned to follow my intuition. I learned how to speak up and stand up for myself against the system. I learned to say ‘NO” and get what I needed. I went to successfully freebirth my 3rd baby at home in full autonomy. While in labor I never feared of anything, I never felt like giving up. It was like the ancestral knowledge we all carry was embedded deep inside of me; I knew exactly what to do. I knew the most awaited time was finally here and I was ready for it. I was empowered, I trusted birth, I trusted my baby, and I trusted my body wasn’t broken. It was the most amazing thing I have ever done and experienced. My baby was born on the same bed he was conceive after 12 hours of labor, caught by his father with a nuchal cord that was easily undone by dad. He was healthy, he was pink, he was warm and alert; he was perfect. I am here guided by a higher power to walk with women through this journey. I am here to serve women. I am here to tell you, you can! Trust and believe in the magic you possess.
