✨Client Testimonial - Kristen Casteel✨

Reflecting on the past 6 months

👉 When you first came to Doors of Hope, what were you hoping to gain or change in your life?
- "A clearer sense of direction in life. I knew I needed structure, accountability, and stability, to change the behaviors that were holding me back."
👉 What is one accomplishment you’re especially proud of from the last six months?
- "Stability. I went from losing everything and being in and out of jail the last 10 years, to maintaining a job and receiving a promotion, to being an active member in my community and rebuilding relationships with family."
👉 How has being in the program helped you grow personally or emotionally?
- "It's helped me step out of my comfort zone. I've learned to manage challenges with greater resilience and it has strengthened my sense of purpose, emotional maturity, and ability to navigate uncertainty with confidence"

Looking Ahead: The Next 6 Months

👉 What motivates you to keep pushing forward during this next chapter?
- "It's really the simple things like getting to see my daughters smile, being able to live freely and showing up for others, and also the support I have from my team and family. I'm driven by the lessons I've learned and that progress comes from persistence."
👉 What areas of growth do you want to continue focusing on before graduation?
- "My recovery, relationships with family, friends, and work, and preparing for real world stressors. I want to continue to grow into the best version of myself for me, my children, family, and others."
👉 How would you describe what this program has meant to you?
- "It's given me space to grow, to challenge myself, and helped me better understand who I am and who I want to become. Through the support, expectations, and opportunities, I've gained confidence, clarity, and a stronger sense of purpose. It's been the backbone in shaping my mindset, values, and readiness for my next chapter."

✨Alumni Spotlight - Kaleigh Earnest ✨

👉 What brought you to the program?
"I came to Doors of Hope by my own choice. I was tired and knew I wanted better. A family friend in recovery told me about DOH, and the day she got out was the day I went in, just one day before my birthday. I was nervous, but I knew it was the right decision."

👉 What was the most meaningful time with us?
"The most meaningful part was the love and support from my recovery coach, case manager, and therapist—being heard without judgment and pushed to do better and be better."

👉 How has the program impacted your life since graduating?
"I still to this day look back on the things that I learned during my time at DOH and use them to help me get through certain things in my everyday life."

👉 What are you most proud of today?
"I'm most proud of my commitment to keep pushing forward and staying clean no matter what. I’m proud to be a mother to my children, to fight for my boys, and to become a better mother and wife. Most of all, I’m proud of bettering myself -for myself."

👉 What would you say to someone considering the program right now?
"DO IT. It won't be easy but anything worth doing never is. Give yourself time, find your tribe, and trust that you’ll be just fine."
