Why box squats?πŸ™ƒ

Well it’s a safe and easy way to start overloading your body. It allows for your body to get prepared to handle heavier weight loads to help increase your squat max.πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Initially it’s less tension and stress on the knees as well. I get knee pain occasionally from wrestling and high impact sportsπŸ₯². Back squats take a lot of load off the quadriceps which lessens the load on the knee joint and distributes the weight more so to your posterior chain.πŸ‘πŸΌ

Intentionally, in this particular back squat I set my feet closer to the box and sat on to the box. This allowed me to focus on handling overload in my erectors, increase explosiveness for at the bottom of my squat, and hip extensors strength for a better lockout at the top of my squat.πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ

Give them a try on your next leg day, if your an advanced lifter, don’t be afraid to go heavy!!πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Looking for a great multifunctional back exercise!?😝 If you have access to a Ground Base squat/deadlift lunge at your gym, try this back combo out!

It’s a great warm up or finisher combo 😡 for the entire back! Start by going into a row to engage lats and inner back, stand up from row to intate a deadlift to engage spinal erectors, and finish with a shrug πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ to hit upper traps.

Repeat, Repeat, and Repeat πŸ” till your back is on fire πŸ”₯!!

Loving the new Hammer Strength Belt Squat here !! This bad boy also has a weighted dip attachment with it and boy let me tell YOU, this sh*** hits different!πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ˜† TBH the Hammer Strength Belt Squat Weight holder was more than enough to kill my triceps, no need to add extra weight!πŸ˜… If you have one local in your gym, don’t be shy πŸ™ˆ give it a try!

Trap bar jumps! One of my favorite leg exercises to increase speed and strength. It also improves force production and can increase your vertical jump significantly! I primarily use it to increase my heart rate to help improve my endurance and burn πŸ”₯ some extra calories πŸ₯΅.

One of the best ways to increase explosiveness on any compound lift (deadlifts are my favorite), is weight manipulation training. Having control over the weight and it’s speed can increase not only your strength, but most importantly your speed in which you can make the weight travel through space.

In this lift, I lowered the weight to be able to perform more reps and to better manipulate the speed and control of the weight. 5 slow, 10 explosive 🧨!!

Give it a try, guarantee your glutes will be on fire by the end πŸ”₯.

In regards to making your back wider πŸ™ŒπŸΌ, you should solely focus on making a mind muscle connection to truly learn how to activate your latissimus dorsi. These are my πŸ” 4 exercises that I’ve used and practiced making this mind muscle connection and thus far has given me a wider back πŸ’ͺ🏼.
